Blue Plums & Weeds
Blue Plums & Weeds
Blue Plums & Weeds is the latest collection of poetry by poet Mario Padilla.
These poems both mourn the “good things lost among a wilderness of weeds” (Emily Brontë) and celebrate that which survives to blossom, in spite of a weed-corrupted garden. Rare and memorable moments common to most lives savored, the juicy drippings of blue plums plucked that survive pestilence, drought and possums—though they are the most unique, unconventional, and challenging variety of plum to cultivate.
BLUE PLUMS & WEEDS is the newest compilation of poetry by writer Mario Padilla.
In this collection, Padilla touches on many subjects throughout his life as an artist, a son, a father, and a man questioning the world around him and its many fleeting moments. PSPOETS is honored to bring his work to life and to share it with so many readers who love the art of poetry as much as we do!
Mario René Padilla was born in Detroit and raised in Columbus, Ohio. He’s of Italian and Mexican descent, but grew up, nevertheless, a “mid-western” kid. His first collection of poems, Reaching Back for the Neverendings, appeared in 1993.
